It is a Amanita Muscaria to be exact, one of the seemingly infinite number of beautiful mushrooms that grows on the island that I`m from. Due to the high levels of Muscimol found in the mushroom, it is highly regarded for it`s psychoactive properties. A very nice shot.

Beautiful. I never pick any mushroom....I trust the field shrooms from the supermarkets. :paranoid: Overall, I look, don't touch. :D (this year has been the year for some pretty far-out fungi here in Maine. Took a LOT of photography of them. A foot injury took me out of the action. Now they're gone by. :cries:)

Its a gnome holding one of those mushrooms. Its got some symbolism of things in my life but I just thought that was ironic when I saw this picture the same day I got my tattoo

When I was far younger, Amanita muscaria were the only ones I would eat, very mild and interesting, but yes, it is very important to know your Fungus!! Very great shot by the way, beautiful.
